A communications enthusiast with 10+ years experience in Marketing Communications spanning across electronic media, print media, outdoor advertising, branding, and experiential.
He is an alumnus of the department of Mass Communication of the Anambra State University and an Associate Member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria.
Chinonso started his career as a journalist and then advanced into screen writing, video editing and audio-visual production before his foray into Marketing Communications and Branding.
He started his marketing communications career at Posterscope Nigeria as a Media Strategist & Planner before moving to Carat Nigeria where he rose to Manager, Strategy and Planning. He subsequently worked as the Consumer Connections Planning Manager at Big Bang Media Ltd and then later as Manager, Strategy and Planning and oMD Media Reach.
In the course of his career, he has led communication strategy and planning for a handful of multi-nationals, including FrieslandCampina Wamco, Total Energies, Phillips, Dangote, Diageo Nigeria, Nestle, Oppo, Bieresdorf, Stanbic IBTC PLC, Mastercard, etc.
Chinonso is very passionate about the prominence of Big Data and insights in overall marketing communications strategy, planning, implementation, and reporting. A strong advocate of creating valuable Consumer Experience as a recipe for delivering set marketing objectives. Skilled also in multi-media production, script and writing as well as investigative journalism.
He is currently the Head of Communication and Branding at SunTrust Bank Nigeria Limited.
