Mr. Olanrewaju Shittu was a Director at the Central Bank of Nigeria. He retired in 2018 and is a holder of MBA degree, Fellow (FCA) Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Associate (ACA) Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate (ACTI) Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria.
Mr. Shittu attended the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where he obtained HND in Accountancy, had his MBA from Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State and an MBA (Management) from University of Houston, Victoria, Texas, U.S.A.
He is a trained and certified bank examiner and trained (local and offshore) in the field of Risk Management and bank supervision methodologies.
Mr. Shittu has a robust and qualitative bank examination skills. Between 2006 and 2018, he was resident examiner in some banks in Nigeria. He was Lead Examiner to many banks in Nigeria, and their offshore subsidiaries. He was involved in the intervention of the Central Bank of Nigeria that resulted in acquisition of some banks by Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and also in the establishment of Credit Bureaus.
Mr. Shittu is a leader par excellence with strong analytical mind, communication, and motivational prowess.
